My #Publix trip yesterday was interesting because I had to put it together on the fly. There wasn't any vitamin D for overage, but there was some John Frieda shampoo and conditioner, plus the $ off $$ coupons. Whenever I have to calculate my cart its important to actually count everything! We had some overage and were deciding how to spend it. But when we got to cashier and checked out, the total was negative $1.10. I was curious how the store would deal with it, but it apparently isn't that big a deal to give cash back. It turns out DH forgot to count a JF coupon. I don't usually like to do stuff like that as I'm of the belief that its best to "fly low" and "stay out of the radar" when shopping. I keep my orders reasonable size and follow all the policies and rules.
There was one time last week when the other TT store refused to take the $5 off $25 Save A Lot coupon even after corporate revised the policy to clearly accept these coupons. I spoke to the store manager explaining an update was on their customer service computer, but he didn't want to hear it. I felt I had no choice but to contact corporate to ask them to train this store on the coupon policy update. Well, a few days later the same store manager called me back regarding my comments to corporate and he explained how they will accept that coupon now. But now he knows who I am. Its probably no big deal, but I would have preferred to stay off the grid.
