My Publix Trip - Got Paid $1.22

I debated whether to continue to post my trips after receiving some criticism from couponers about using expired Publix store coupons. Here's my take on it. I have asked at nearby stores in the last couple weeks and five out of six of the stores I asked, responded that they DO accept expired PQs. Two of them take them up to 30 days, and the others stated they accept them up to a week expired, but will allow others with permission. So folks, according to my little sampling, 83% of my stores accept expired Publix coupons. It is not that outrageous of a request and they make the rules, I just follow them. Many times I have expired Publix coupons because the product was never in stock when it was on sale and I didn't get a chance to redeem them timely. I can sleep at night using expired Publix coupons. If you do not feel its acceptable to use them, then you're throwing away money. Some of these stores also accept Wags RR too. If you don't feel comfortable using them at Publix, then don't. Its kind of a personal thing. Personally, I don't feel sorry for Publix. They make a ton of profit and do just fine.

Anyway, with that said onto my trip. It was a moneymaker trip because I did use expired Publix coupons. Of course there were no carefree liners that were moneymakers, and since the store does accept the expired Publix Sundown coupon, there was no vitamin D either (Gasp :o other people use expireds too!). Earlier in the week the shelves were stocked with Soft Soap with peelies all over them, and I grabbed four peelies for this sale. Sure enough, when I went back to buy the products during the sale, there was not one peelie to be found on the shelves. If I hadn't gotten some earlier this week I wouldn't have gotten the deal this week. I know some people aren't comfortable getting peelies for a later purchase, but then you will NEVER get the deal. You need to be proactive sometimes. Be considerate and only take a couple. The Ocean Spray cranberry juice is only BOGO on the 100% juice products, that means none of the diet or light products are BOGO this time. Check your binders for the Presidente Feta coupon for $2.50, it is valid until 4/30 if you still have it - no longer available to print. I stacked the deli Publix coupon with it to make it a moneymaker. The eggs TQ was in a mailer received Tuesday this week, so check your recycle bin if you missed it in Tampa.  The Right Guard is not labeled as being on BOGO, so you may actually be able to find some. So in the end they paid me $1.22, and I saved $156.58 with store savings and coupons.
