It was with sadness that I handed over my last Budget By The Horns $5 off $30 PQ last night for my regular salad stuff trip. I have relied on that coupon since last August to essentially ensure I did not pay for food and products for over half a year. I still have dozens of gift cards ready to pick up the slack the lack of this coupon will generate, and it will rock my world. I just hope USF has another promotion this summer and continues the tradition of handing out that little booklet in August. So, I can probably make it through June and July with just the Winn Dixie $5 off $30, but my shopping will be cut in half - no more stockpiling, just the essentials. I hope the PQ in the Tampa area this week is a $5 off $30, they're due in the lineup IMHO.
Anyway, not much in the ad appeals to us this week and the only store that takes expired coupons for 30 days is now being overshopped and there are no overage items like kotex liners or vitamin D. There was some sominex to help a little. I did manage to get a couple rainchecks last week for the Bushes Beans to get some overage this coming month when I need it. This trip I saved $80 and spent $7, which is a lot for me - but will become more the norm I'm afraid. The batteries were what did me in and I probably could have gotten a better deal somewhere else but alas I can't pay elsewhere with Publix giftcards which is my favorite currency.
