I've been out of town visiting relatives and friends in Minnesota. We had a wonderful time at the Minnesota State Fair and consumed mounds of those wonderful deep fried cheese curds! Yum. I even bought extra and brought them home to enjoy again sometime.

I was out of the coupon loop for quite a while but it only takes a little bit of organization and research to find out whats what. It seems as if Publix has continued to crack down on coupons at all my stores. I had one hold out that still accepted expired Publix coupons but they ended that on Labor Day. I missed the Mt Dew deal being out of town, but was able to get a dozen 12 pks on Monday when they let me use the expired YAB coupon one last time. So now, all my stores limit my TQs to 1 per person (we get to use 2 when DH shops with me), no expireds, and of course following the words on all coupons. Its not really a problem but I dislike the slippery slope of changes and all the additional scrutiny we endure as couponers. Also Publix had their USF Back to School event when I was out of town and I found out I didn't really miss that much. Last year they had that wonderful Budget by the Horns coupon booklet with $5/$30 good for every month of the school year. This year they didn't have ANY coupons, not even a free shopping bag! Just a bunch of vendor samples. I almost rescheduled my trip because I didn't want to miss it, but it turned out to be a non event.

Anyway, my shop was pretty small and it was mostly internet printables from facebook. I spent $1.13 for $39.58 worth of groceries, saving 98%.  I did discover that I was able to print 4 bricks MQs for the Franks Hot Sauce on one computer! I logged into one FB account using internet explorer and printed two. Then I used Moxilla Firefox to log into another account and was able to print 2 more.  That trick didn't work for the Jose Ole SS coupon though, only 2 prints per computer. I was happy to see that SAL came out with another $5 off $25 for the month.
